Barone appeared in the fourth-season Seinfeld episode The Shoes as Gail Cunningham an executive chef, who was looking for Elaine Benes shoes. In the 90s early on, Barone was a regular on Carol & Company as a co-star along with Carol Burnett. Barone was Carol Willick Ross Geller's ex-wife during the first Friends appearance. The show ended her time as she was looking for an additional full-time job. She was replaced with Jane Sibbett. Barone was a part of The Jeff Foxworthy Show from 1995 to 1996 and The War at Home from 2005 to 2007. Barone was a co-star on Daddio (2000).
