Her name gained international attention and affection when she gave the world one of its greatest moments in sports history by scoring the world's first perfect ten on asymmetric bars in the Montreal Olympic Games in 1976. In the following years, she was able to score an additional six perfect 10s and became the youngest Olympic all-around gold medalist at just fourteen years of age.
